About Us
The Aviation Scholar Foundation is a registered nonprofit corporation in Georgia seeking tax-exempt status under 501(c)(3). Aviation Scholar Foundation's goal is to provide pilot opportunity programs, training, education, and support through our Aviation Museum. ASF will seek to acquire and renovate a facility near downtown Atlanta to house our Aviation Museum and thrift store as we expand and implement our multi-tier program.
ASF's first capital campaign goal is to raise $1 million for educational scholarships, hire staff, and acquire and renovate a facility that will provide museum, thrift store, and retail training, as well as business and life skills classes to those who are interested and qualify.
Our Goal
Long-term goal is to change the aviation industry's distribution of diversity to be more positive. ASF will close the existing gap by working to increase diversity among young people through education and scholarships. The non-profit was founded to serve the underserved community by reshaping the airline industry recruiting standards.
Long Term Benefits
Connecting with aviation employers in the corporate sector, military pilots, and major airlines is important to our region. Our access opens more doors for Atlanta and the participants in our program. Long-term goal of sustaining and improving aviation services and infrastructure, including engineering and mechanical opportunities for students interested in learning how to fly, repair, and maintain airplanes.
Educational Programs
ASF strives to provide opportunities for underrepresented minorities to work in an inclusive and beneficial work environment. It is anticipated that as a result of these actions, awareness of the aviation industry will increase. Providing many avenues for participants to be involved in ASF non-profit programs allows for greater diversity within the aviation industry
Educational Museum
The aviation industry and its community prosper economically and socially. We intend to accomplish this by educating the public, establishing a corporate aviation museum, and providing annual scholarships.
